Since Ede is always the one to get right on things and start something the moment it pops into her head, I thought I should probably catch up and try to post something, anything. So here goes.
The weather has been crap, and it seems like we'll never get out of here, but alas I look at the timer and low-and-behold, there's just a mere 80 odd days before we abandon our homes and our families to finally venture abroad together.
Years ago I had the great opportunity to move to another continent and was desperate to have Ede come to visit. Unfortunately life didn't allow us the opportunity at the time for that dream to be realized, and it's taken us only a couple of decades (give or take) to finally be able to do something like this together. All at once I am mildly terrified (thinking back to our younger days and the trouble we got into), yet heart-pounding excited to venture so far from home together. It is going to be the trip of a lifetime, and I couldn't be happier to be doing something like this with my best friend.
To us Ede, and all of the years we slogged through the tough times, peed our pants laughing through the good times, to finally find ourselves setting out into the great blue yonder together is truly a dream come true!! I love you!!
