You know, things start to change almost before your eyes, if you stopped long enough to take notice that is.
This year I will be forty. I remember thinking way back when, how old that sounded, and how old I thought I'd feel. Well here I am on the doorstep of that age, and I feel good, really good, probably better than I have ever. I have new aches and pains, I get more worn out with my toddler than I did in my twenties with my other two, but one thing I have begun to notice is the stillness and sincerity that I am entering into this coming decade of life with.
I am more truthful with myself, and what I honestly want and cherish in my life. Things change, there are seasons to everything (as someone recently told me, lol). I am so happy to finally feel like I can move forward with this knowledge and strength.
Today is today, I can't do anything to undo yesterday, and tomorrow will be what it is. I awoke to this quote and thought it perfect for the way I've finally started to see things.
Concentrate all your attention on the work at hand. Live this day well. Yesterday has joined the hoary past, a finished product, on which you need bestow no more attention. Tomorrow is yet a long way off; and it will bring with it tme enough for its work. Forget the past; ignore the future. Live in the present. The future will take care of itself.
